84 Lumber Donates $125,000 to Kentucky Tornado Relief on Good Morning America

EIGHTY FOUR, PA. (December 22, 2021) – Today, on Good Morning America, 84 Lumber presented a special surprise to the city of Mayfield, Kentucky. To assist with relief from the devastating tornado that hit the town on December 10, the company donated $100,000, plus an additional $25,000 in building materials.

“After witnessing the level of destruction in Mayfield, we knew we could make a difference and help put roofs back over the heads of people who desperately need assistance,” said 84 Lumber President Maggie Hardy Knox. “Our Kentucky area stores moved quickly to get supplies down to Mayfield for the surprise, and they plan to continue helping the town in the coming months as they rebuild.”

The $100,000 donation will directly assist the town of Mayfield, and the $25,000 in materials will go to homeowners in the area who need assistance rebuilding. This donation comes at the end of 2021 during 84 Lumber’s 24 Days of Giving holiday campaign. Throughout the year, the company donated millions in materials and monetary donations to communities in need.
