David Weekley Homes Selects 84 Lumber as a National Preferred Partner

84 Lumber is chosen out of 142 companies as a top 12 partner

Eighty Four, PA (July 30, 2020): Today, 84 Lumber proudly accepted a 16th annual National Preferred Partner award from David Weekley Homes, one of the nation’s largest privately-held home builders. Through its National Preferred Partner awards, David Weekley Homes recognizes its top field and manufacturing partners each year that have consistently operated at world-class levels, as determined by the home builder’s supplier evaluation platform. This is the first time 84 Lumber has been selected for the honor.

“At David Weekley Homes, we hold our National Preferred Partners to the highest standards of excellence,” said John Schiegg, vice president of supply chain services for David Weekley Homes. “84 Lumber continually demonstrates world-class quality and service in providing an unsurpassed building experience for our customers.”

Based in Houston, David Weekley Homes is present in 20 cities across the U.S. and has worked with 84 Lumber on several large- and small-scale projects. 84 Lumber was selected among 11 other partners including Garland Insulating, Home Team Pest Defense, Blind Ambitions and more. A total of 142 companies were evaluated for this year’s awards, and only 16 percent achieved the designation of National Preferred Partner.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with our relationship with the David Weekley Homes team,” said Billy Ball, national vice president of sales at 84 Lumber. “Their dedication, hard work and top-notch customer service has paired well with our team and mission at 84 Lumber, and we look forward to continuing to build the American Dream with them for years to come.”
