84 Lumber Ranked as Pittsburgh’s Second Largest Privately-Held Company

Eighty Four, Pennsylvania – June 29, 2016 – 84 Lumber, the nation’s leading privately held building materials and services supplier, has been ranked as Pittsburgh’s second largest privately-held company by the Pittsburgh Business Times.

The list ranks private companies in Pittsburgh according to 2015 revenues. 84 Lumber reported revenues of $2.504 billion, an approximate eight percent increase over 2014 sales figures.

84 Lumber climbed two spots from last year’s list of “Top 100 Private Companies” by the Pittsburgh Business Times, where the company was ranked fourth.

“It’s an honor to be ranked among largest of Pittsburgh’s privately-held companies. But I am most proud of all our associates who work endlessly to remain true to the company’s ideals,” said Maggie Hardy Magerko, President and Owner, 84 Lumber Company. “These results, and our 2015 revenues, are a direct reflection of our associates’ dedication to focusing on our business and continuing to provide quality products and services to builders, contractors and homeowners.” In the past six months, 84 Lumber added three new retail stores and two new manufacturing facilities to its roster of over 250 stores and manufacturing facilities nationwide. The company will continue to open stores in 2016 and announced earlier this year expansion plans in the western U.S. with a new office in Phoenix, Arizona and at least a dozen new stores and manufacturing facilities by the end of 2017.
