EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. (September 24, 2026) — 84 Lumber is proud to recognize the recipients of its 2026 mid-year Team Headquarters (THQ) Awards, celebrating associates who have demonstrated exceptional performance, leadership, professional growth, and commitment to the company.
The THQ Awards program features two honors: the Business Excellence Award and the Rising Star Award. Established in 2022 at 84 Lumber’s headquarters in Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, the awards are presented twice a year and provide an opportunity for associates to recognize colleagues for their contributions and impact. Associates nominate their peers, and 84 Lumber’s leadership team selects the final award recipients.
The Business Excellence Award was presented to Bethany Young, Internal Communications Manager. The award recognizes an associate who has demonstrated exemplary leadership, significant accomplishments, professional growth, and contributions to 84 Lumber.
Young joined 84 Lumber in March 2022 as an Internal Communications Lead and was promoted to her current role in January 2025.
“Bethany is an outstanding 84 associate and valued leader on our team. She executes her responsibilities as Internal Communications Manager with exceptional organization, collaboration, and a positive attitude that brings out the best in those around her,” said Sue Kasko, Director of Training and Development.
The Rising Star Award was presented to Brian Greening, Project Engineer. The award recognizes up-and-coming associates who have made a significant impact on their teams and demonstrated potential for continued growth within the company.
Greening joined 84 Lumber’s Development team in August 2025.
“Since joining the Development team, Brian has quickly demonstrated his technical knowledge, willingness to learn, and ability to contribute. He has shown the initiative, professionalism, and work ethic that we look for in our future leaders,” said Scott Klipstine, Director of Engineering. “Brian is very deserving of the Rising Star Award, and I’m excited to see how he continues to grow and develop with 84 Lumber.”
Through the THQ Awards program, 84 Lumber recognizes associates across its corporate headquarters who exemplify the company’s values and make meaningful contributions to the organization. The program honors both established leaders and emerging talent, highlighting the individuals who help drive 84 Lumber’s continued success.
