EIGHTY FOUR, Pa. (May 29, 2018) – For the second consecutive year, 84 Lumber and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort will sponsor and participate in Pittsburgh Pride, scheduled to take place June 1–10. The sponsorship is part of 84 Lumber’s commitment to giving back to the Pittsburgh region and beyond.

Both companies will host a 24-foot float in the EQT Equality March on Sunday, June 10, starting at 12:30 p.m. Various leaders, including owner and President Maggie Hardy Magerko, and dozens of associates from 84 Lumber and Nemacolin will take part in the parade and other festivities. 84 Lumber’s mascot Splinter and Nemacolin’s mascot Fatbird will also be in attendance.

“84 Lumber is proud to support Pittsburgh Pride and looks forward to celebrating with our colleagues at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort,” said 84 Lumber’s Vice President of Marketing Amy Smiley. “Whenever we have the opportunity to give back, we like to do so. We believe in supporting and empowering communities to create change.”

In addition to the parade, 84 Lumber will participate in other Pride activities. The company’s Countryside tiny house will be on site and open for tours from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 9. Both 84 Lumber and Nemacolin will also have booths on display Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. along Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh.
