United States Hispanic Contractors Association Convention

84 Lumber participated in the 4th Annual United States Hispanic Contractors Association Convention on October 25-27 in Austin, Texas. The Association’s 6,000 nationwide members gathered to discuss the theme of “Unity & Diversity: the Path to Opportunity”. 84 Lumber is committed to developing partnerships and building relationships with the minority builder community.

84 Lumber's Dedication to Community & Diversity

On Saturday, August 4th, 2007, 84 Lumber sponsored the first annual Hispanic Job Fair & Budweiser Latino Soccer Tournament. While it is imperative to incorporate the rest of the globe into our marketplace, it is just as relevant to recognize the importance of the global communities we have in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. Only recently 84 Lumber played host as the title sponsor to the Hispanic Soccer Tournament and Job Fair as an acknowledgement of the diverse and growing Hispanic population that is establishing roots in our fair town. People from as far away places as: Argentina, España, Peru, Brazil and Mexico enjoyed a perfect and sunny Pittsburgh summer day playing one of our favorite sports... Soccer!

Women's Leadership May Luncheon

A group of associates from Team Headquarters attended the Tribute to Women Leadership Award luncheon on May 24 at the Hilton Hotel in Pittsburgh, which was sponsored by 84 Lumber. The YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh holds this event to honor distinguished women of achievement who have served the community through excellence and leadership. Attending the event were, from left to right, Davine Behanna, Kristi Sotler, Amy Cris, Diane Worrell, AnnaMarie Pellegrini, Jackie Catalano, Lynn Erskine, Christine Froelich, Morgan Fisher, and Kaye Gasper.
